Does the back part come off or is it permenent?

That would work nice here in Inidana, the weather is crappy 6 1/2 months out of the year.

I have often thought a 16-18' toon with a camper top, a couple nice captains chairs and rails would make the ideal fishing boat.

Just checked out your pics--they look great! Terrific enclosure, and what a perfect idea. Sun in the front, shade in the back!

A 16-18 foot pontoon with a camper top would not make a good fishing boat. You can't troll and you would only be able to fish off the front. The best pontoon for that is a four-corner fish (fishing chairs at all four corners).

While I agree with your statement, I seldom use my boat for fishing, only cruising.
