pretty much the same you do in tampa bay unless you're taking a flats boat over. Lots of wrecks and reefs, sharks, grouper, snapper, some sails still, dolphin.
if your gonna make that trip I would bring a variety of tackle because you never know what will be hitting. Definitely bring the grouper tackle, but also everything you might need for dolphin/saills, sharks/barracuda.....
The dolphin (dorado, mahi) bite should be on big time. Good medium weight spinning gear can be used for that. Those rods can also be used for a flatline and for lighter bottom fishing.
Since this is my first trip to Bimini this information is extremly helpful. Do you guys have any recomendations on tackle to use like live bait or lures?
I fish live bait/rigged ballyhoo exclusively, you can sabiki the live bait, and buy the rigged ballyhoo if you don't know how to do it, are you going to troll, use downriggers/outriggers? Your level of expertise and equipment is gonna dictate what type of fishing you can do.
I would try any method as long as I get results. I think trolling with planners would be good, just wondering why rigs to bring with me. Im sure tackle is 1/2 as much in walmart than at bait shops in Bimini.
