I have a Karavan Trailer ? single axle, with 10? drum brakes.
One of the hydraulic cylinders in the wheel failed ?. And after stripping ?.

I am in UK, and cannot buy replacement cylinders in country ???. I can buy a pair of cylinders and ship them in, but get hit for import duty, UPS air freight charges, etc.
In reality all that it needs is seal kit ?. The cup seal from within the cylinder and the rubber boot that goes over the end. Cost of these should be very low .. as would be shipping due to low weight.
Does anybody know anywhere that does a seal kit ? ??

The cylinders look the same as the ones on Overtons site:
http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=74053&pdesc=10_Wheel_Cylinder&cname=Brakes-Hub&aID=26C&merchID=1009&r=view

The manufacturers ?mark on cylinder is AGP and cup seal part number is .. 17255 TB but I don?t have a pn for the rubber boot.

I would not bother rebuilding. I have personally never seen a rebuilt wheel cylinder or master cylinder last very long.

Rebuilding wheel cylinders is not a big deal. If the bore and piston are not pitted go for it. If you have a manufacturers number there are a number of outlets for parts. Most better auto stores (online) such as NAPA, AUTO ZONE and trailer parts suppliers (Champion, Northern Tool) may be able to supply the kits. I know NAPA can but whether or not they ship internationally is another issue. If you know someone in this country you could have them buy the parts and then they could ship them (perhaps as a gift). I did that some years ago with a friend from Sweden. He was driving an Oldsmobile Diesel of all things and needed some glow plugs. It turns out I was doing Diesel to Gas conversions at the time so I shipped him a bunch of diesel stuff and it was imported as a gift.

The part number for the cup seal I know ... but don't have number for the rubber boot.
Anybody know where I could find that.

I did strip cylinder, hone out bore ..it had some corrosion crystals (assume salt water had got in) ... re-fitted old cup seal, and so far it's holding up ... but would prefer to put new seals in, if I can get them.

Are there any other forums you could suggest I try asking ?
