When we bought our current boat it had a crappy name... "play it by ear" as well as side stripes that we didn't like but being tape and a good base color, we knew we could do what ever we wanted. So we thought long and hard and I decided to name it after my wife, the "Kelly Marea" At the same time, I removed the side stripes, removed the bow numbers and redid the whole thing anew, Black lettering and ID # and black and silver stripes. I also added the hand cut, black skull and crossbones to go along with the pirate flag we fly. So you can say we completely changed her appearance in keeping with the correct way to change a boats name... My 2 cents.
