1999 Mercury 115 2 stroke. Went through the Clymer sync & link procedure only to find there were 2 marks on the linkage arm. They are about 3/16 inch apart, with the first being about 1/4 inch to the right of the stop. Do I align the left or right mark with the single line on the pump body?

Thanx...Bevan

Here's the procedure for a 95 115. I don't know if they are the same for a 99.

Re: Oil Injection Pump Calibration

Thanks man! I went with the first one like in the diagram. The ink must have been running low when they printed my edition!

I'm gonna premix 100:1 in the tank for a while just to make sure. Heck, I might just keep on doing it as a safety net. I took it out today & it definitely used some oil out of the res. I just was un-sure where the throw for the variable rate starts.

By the way, the sync & link cured my rough idle woes...the oil pump arm was the only thing I had trouble with & that was due to the crappy diagram. I'm still not 100% sure about that portion yet....and of course that can kill an engine fast!
