Just sharing a funny booboo from last night !!

Just thought I would share a funny with ya

I got home from work and started glassing my livewell for the boat !

Grabbed a can of resin :redface: mixed in some catalyst and went to town !
Man it look good !!!
But it was not reacting as normal

Looked at the can I grabbed and it was part B of my foam kit......LOL

Just so you know it does not cure very well ha ha ha
Back at her tonight I guess

a guy i work with grabbed super glue thinking it was eye drops. put a few drops in his eye and glued it shut. OUCH.. he immediately went to the hospital and was fine after a few days.

so i guess my point is.. it could be worse.. lol

I an just glad I did not use the A part for catalyst
that would make a pretty small livewell !!!

Funny, but it's a good idea to avoid this sort of thing if you can.

Y'see, there are a few chemicals you might have around the shop that are useful when mixed/used in the intended way, but when mixed with the wrong thing become toxic or give off toxic gas.

Not everyone has stuff that will do that, but it's much better to put away stuff you're not using (like anyone does that) or come up with a system for making sure you're using what you think you are.

It's surprising what can be toxic when mixed... for instance, certain powdered laundry detergents mixed with canned soda pop can give off chlorine gas...

my friend was hanging out with me at work on a saturday not sure why but he poured some part A foam into a can of B put the lid on, I was working on my car and heard a boom! well he had hairy legs and was wearing shorts!!
