need information on reworking a prop

I have a 30hp 2 stroke tohatsu and the prop has been damaged,reworked,and damaged again. Its still in good enough shape to rework but I need some information on the correct way to do this. I put in on a metal round tube before and tried to beat it back straight and it helped tremendously but I know that its still not right. I dont want to send it off to have it reworked because I dont want to have to wait three weeks for something I could have probably done myself in a few hours. thanks in advance

Unless you get it exactly perfect, you could stress your LU and damage it. I would leave it to the pros and/or buy another prop while the original is in the shop.

Prop shops have forms that they use to rework a propeller. It is unlikely you will be able to balance the blades and it is very likely you will get vibration if you do this yourself.

I know Im going to have to get a new prop or send it off eventually but I was attempting to find some info. to get me by for now. When I first bought my engine the prop was bent every which way and when I straightened it out it really helped my top end and had no noticeable vibration. I also talked to a mechanic at my local boat shop and he had explained how I should do it and said he had reworked a few himself. I guess I can get away with a little more because my engine is only a 30hp. Im sure if it was a 200 or something it would probably be much more sensitive to prop changes. What my problem is that I dont want to send my only prop off for three weeks and I cannot find a new one. Anyone know where I can find a prop for a 1982 30hp 2 stroke tohatsu? The props in the tohatsu website do not go this far back. thanks
