Tune up!

I have an 1993 Yamaha 85hp. Just boat it and it works great! But , there's also a but, I don't know the date of the last tune up? I want to do it , but what do I need? Coils, Sparks , water seperator filter ? Also on the coils, can they be tested? Any help on tuning my engine up will be appreciated. Thanks!

ign problems on that motor are incredibly rare,
change all your fuel filters, gear case oil and a complete cooling system maint to include t-stat,pressure control valve grommet and water pump kit.
spark plugs once a year is cheap and easy.

I appreciate the reply, but I have several questions:

You say:
change all your fuel filters - Okay this I know and can do myself.

Gear case oil - What you mean by this? I manually mix the oil with gas, is that what you mean?

Complete cooling system maint to include t-stat,pressure control valve grommet and water pump kit. - Can I do all this my self or need to send to do?


spark plugs once a year is cheap and easy - This easy and I know how.
