I have a 1991 johnson 115 VRO O/B. It will start up but will stallout after about 2 min. When I go to put it in gear it will stall about 50% of the time and when it does not the boat only goes about 5 mph. I just bought the boat put it in the water ran ok got it up to around 40 mph now this is happening. The boat took a really long time to plane out when it was kinda working. Any idea of what this might be. Thanks in advance

Pump the primer bulb when you get it started. If it picks up, look to the fuel pump for your problem.
If you have a bad fuel pump, you can pump that primer bulb and keep the engine running, and even performing as if nothing was wrong!

tried pumping the bulb no luck. actually now I cant get it to idle in Neutral, I can get it to start at higher rpms then when I bring back the trottle to Neutral it stalls out. Once in a while it will idle for about 2 min in neutral but then when I go to put it in gear it will stall out. Any other ideas would be great I need to drive it about 2 miles to the put in and dont want to pay for a tow ;)

Just a possibility...the red lever on the primer solenoid...it should be aligned lengthwise with the round body of the solenoid. Double check that.
If it is aligned at 90* to the body of the solenoid, the primer bulb will not pump up firm, and you will be very rich at idle.

very possible, i recommend a complete carb cleaning, and rebuild kits, new fuel lines from tank to carbs. if it does not have alcohol resistant fuel lines, you could have ethanol poisoning. the ethanol deteriorates the old fuel lines, they start to sluff off on the inside, contaminating the carbs, the particles settle to the bottom of the carbs where the fuel pickups are.
