What's involved in converting a 1992 45 Horse Johnson manual start outboard to electric start.? Thanks

Looking at the contents of the electric start kit (0435711 [0438629]), it shouldn't be hard to install ... price is around $375. Kit includes stator assembly, starter motor, rectifier, start button, battery cables, etc.

I installed a kit in my 1996 Evinrude ... took about 1/2 day. There were good illustrated instructions included ... but I also needed the regular factory manual for the motor for instructions on removing lower engine cowl, etc.

Thanks for the reply. As to the comment about the chatroom I am quite aware of the fact. No need to be rude, I happened to enter it twice and forgot to delete one.
