My outboard starts up fine, with no problems every time I have taken it out on the water. when I shut the motor off and drift or anchor for a while, sometimes greater than an hour, it struggles to start up again. I have plenty of battery power, the engine turns over easily, but thats the problem it just turns over and over and over. You get the idea. It has happened the past few ties I have been out, and this past weekend it did it when I was about 20 miles off shore. Took a good 3 solid minutes of turning it over to get it finally going. The bulb is nice and full, so its getintg plenty of fuel. Once its running there are no issues at all.
Does anyone think this is a spark plug problem or perhaps pistons and rings expanding when the motor heats up? Im sort of stumped because it runs great all other times.
thanks in advance!
