Don't worry, though, the people you want dead will always be seen as the evil enemy, since history is always written by the victors.

I hope and pray the USA will always write the history;)

Re: Ordering Pizza in 2010

I being a VET am not paranoid, nor do I want to do a 1st strike, that said, being vigilant is not looking back or forward but just doing the right thing so at your cocktail parties you have the right to make fun of us for keeping you safe. That is one of the things that make this country a great country. You can have your view and I can have mine. The main thing I know is that there are bad people out there and while you are shaking thier hand, the other has a weapon in it to strike you down because we do not believe in the things they do. Not the moderates, but if you read a translated Koran, it is every muslim's duty to convert everyone over to Islam, and if they don't KILL them. Yes read it, it is there. Now thankfully most do not follow this, but people with nothing to lose will follow idiots like this and they are out there. It is quite naive to think that just because we have a new "nice" president that these people aren't still planning to do us great harm. September 11th was planned under Bill Clinton remember, how about Pan AM 103, Lebanon Embassy Bombing, Archille Laurel? the ship where the gentleman in a wheelchair was pushed off, the 1st world trade tower bomber? All of these plus more planned and executed under Clinton, another nice president. The point is we will be hit soon, and all the libs will wonder why, or blame Bush because it is alway's his fault for all of our domestic and world troubles. Keep the faith and my family will guard you anyway!

And why is this political thread still around?

One thing I like about iBoats is no political threads. Easy on the eyes that way.

I agree and here's a good reason why ....

Pan Am 103 happened in 1988 - Ronald Reagan was President, not Bill Clinton.

The Achille Lauro (not Laurel) incident happened in 1985 - Ronald Reagan was President, not Bill Clinton.

The Lebanon Embassy bombing (Beirut) happened in 1983 - Ronald Reagan was President, not Bill Clinton.

BTW, I not only worked for Pan Am on December 21, 1988, but also worked for the division of Pan Am that was responsible for the airline's security. I kinda think that I know a little more about what happened that day than some guy on an internet forum, so I'll tell you that who was President at the time and what his political affiliation happened to be, was irrelevant.

Please don't use the deaths of someone's friends and colleagues as fodder for a political point - especially when it is wrong.

Re: Ordering Pizza in 2010

I used to love eating pizza, it goes down better with a good lager beer.;)
I suppose that i got a bit wiser as i got a bit older, one day i thought to myself, "Why am i putting all of this crap into my body?" ...And i'm not talking about the beer ;) that was in 1989, i have not eaten pizza since, and i somehow don't miss it or have any sort of craving for it.

When it comes to personal information, your insurance company knows more about you and your families than any govt agency or pizza parlor ever will. Why ? ...Because you gave it to them.;)

Have you ever wondered what they do with all of that info ? :eek:

as far as terrorism goes, they hate us just because we are on top. Not really because of our policies or our leaders. They just hate us because we have all of the power, we run the world, and they want to take over the world. Everyone that hates us says it is because we are arrogant, But really they are just jealous, Like how people hate the rich guy with all of the nice things. Or how everyone hates the Dynasty sports team.

When your on top, everyone is gunning for you. Just how it is.

Re: Ordering Pizza in 2010

defendants carried out the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and how a fourth facilitated the attacks.

October 12, 2000 - Terrorism strikes and almost sinks the Destroyer USS Cole in Yemen.
1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five US military
personnel;

After the 1998 bombing of US embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and
injured 5,000;
1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five US military
personnel;
After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured
1,000;
sorry my memory gets a little fuzzy going back that far sometimes on the dates, It does not matter who was president anyway because the point I was making is that there are bad people out there and they will do thier level best to kill you and I and our familys if they get the chance. A weak US is a big taget for them. Go and meet them if you prefer and see what will happen to you. The list of terror goes on and on, and will continue untill they are all gone. You could fill pages of terror activities here not only against the US but all other countries as well. we must remain vigilant and not give up our freedoms to do this, that is the hard part because in this, we have given up some freedom. That is the part I detest the most. Those who seek to destroy us, have already succeded to a degree. I believe it was Stalin who said "we do not need a war with the US, we can destroy it from within" ARE WE LETTING THIS HAPPEN?

Re: Ordering Pizza in 2010

Who could have guessed that a silly post about ordering pizza would turn into a political debate about international terrorism?

Too political and too controversial. Closed
