Re: ignition problem

you connect the keyswitch to whatever wire is providing power to your msd box. Sounds like your emergency stop switch (ESS) is either completeing your power or your ground circuit (should be power). The way it should be wired is like this.
Power from the battey up to the keyswitch. Power out of the keyswitches IGN terminal to 1 side of the ESS, then the other side of the ESS down to your MSD box. That's it, simple stuff.

Re: ignition problem

Thanks Jason for that info. I have to check out the wiring to the key switch and see if there was even a wire brought there from the ignition. The key switch cranks the starter but to shut down the engine I either have to walk back to the engine bay and throw the "msd on/ off switch" or pull the ess. I am wondering if the key switch is faulty on the " ignition " terminal part of the key switch and thats why it wasnt connected properly. Just so you know when the ess clip is attached the guages all liven up. From your info it looks as if I should make sure the ess is compleating curcut with positive and not ground. I will check all this today and get back to you.

Thanks again Jason.
