Hey,
I just felt compelled to give you guys who help others and provide such great info a "Good Job", and a much appreciated Thanks. I have no fantastic tale of how iboats saved my day, but I'm certain I wouldn't have a whack of money that I've saved by doing repairs and maintenance myself. Rather, I got to spend that money by taking the family out boating and fishing.

When I'm out on the water, either cruising or simply floating I feel at peace, and I'm much more appreciative for the things I have. Which now includes a variety of boat aficionados who share their knowledge and help others, including myself, here at iboats.

I'll give you all a toast from the middle of the lake in a week or so, and give yourselves a pat on the back for all the work.

Thank you.

Yes, it is a great place and why I got hooked a few years back. Tell us more about what and where you boat . . .

Right on! It's great to see these types of threads, good forum, good people.

What did we do years ago without the internet, and great information like this?

Re: Iboats Rox. Thank you all

Actually I have a P.O.S 14' fiberglass with a 1963 Merc 500. So needless to say I've done half of everything to it so far, and the rest will come soon. lol

However, it floats fine, goes fast enough and gets me over the fish. So mission accomplished. I love the old motor, and I'm planning on completely overhauling it someday soon. I'm new to Marine motors, yet everything built in the 60's makes sense to me, and I find it enjoyable to restore old motors & machinery.

Its so cool to have a means to communicate with people with similar interests and knowledge. Its places like this that make the internet the greatest tool to mankind, since the PC itself. The knowledge base this site has already is amazing. I always tell people I send here to look, and look again, cause its almost certainly been asked before.

Tight Lines.
