I am working at retoring my 1982 Bomber Bassmaster bass boat & want to raise the driver & passenger seats up a bit. The older I get the harder it is to get up out of the seat which are just a few inches off floor. Anybody have a good idea on what I coud do & still have a stable seat?

From your other post ;)

I have an older Bomber bass boat & want or need to raise the driver & passenger seat. Most know they are only a few inches off floor of boat. It seems with old age, getting up & down from such a low seat position is rough after a long day of fishing, especially when moving a lot. I just wondered if anyone had a good idea of how to fix something, either a short pedestal or something that would riase up the seats some but still be stable.

What are they mounted on now? What type of seats are they?

They are regular flip down boat seats. The driver & passenger seat are separated by the livewell in the Bomber. The area they are mounted to is fiberglass raised up a few inches off floor like most bass boats. There is an open are underneath both seats for small stuff. Either I will need to make a short box type structure out of marine plywood & bracket it or glass it in or use a metal plate & bracket it, then drill holes & use short pedestals. I don't want it too high & I want it stable when running. I don't have a pic of my boat or I would put it on.
