I found these # on the carb cover and dont know if they are the model # trying to find out what year my force motor is to order a repair manual the # are uscg app no 162.042/10/0

The model number is only located on the id plate, or possibly on a white paper parts sticker.

What is the hp of your motor?

Most likely a 90, or 91.

What color are the coils? blue or black?

If black, does the swichtbox have terminal connectors, or do the wires have bullet connectors?

Is the fuel pump square or oval?


A Clymer manual is generic, for all Force models.

But you need to know model or at least the year if you are getting a factory manual.

It should be here.Mine is a 87,but the carbs and starter are stamped 8/86.

that is exatcly where the where the # are 906x90c does that mean it is a 90?
also the coils are blue and the fuel pump looks round. I want to get it ready for the season plugs wires change the lower unit oil any other sugestions?

For parts ordering purposes, it is a 1990c model.
Change the water pump impeller
