Im trying to fox the motor myself, just had a baby and funds are low well anyways here is the deal...
I replaced the power pack because this "mechanic" told me it was the pack and guess what after installing the pack still no spark. So i decided to tackle the project myself.. I got a manual and followed the steps & still no spark.
This is what i did.
1, disconnect kill switch the connector under the pack and the one for the throttle- no spark
2. Check output on Stator- 180 on the dva.
3. check the trigger or timming base (not sure the name 4 pin connector) and both circuits had 0.9 I beleive one is for quickstart and the other for running.
4 disconnected rectifier- no spark
5 I tried my original pack and the new CDI - Spark.
6. I grounded the white cable for the temp switch - spark ( im not sure why i did this if the trigger had voltage)
7. At this point i have tried the following parts 1. power pack 1borrowed trigger checked all the wiring and groungs and nothing.
Can someone please help what else can I do???
Is it possible that the trigger and power pack can go bad at the same time or take each other out?
thanks,
Mike
