ok this guy wants me to fix up his outboard for him. now ive only worked on evinrude johnson's with the single carbs. this one has three

ok so this guy had fuel problems because his fuel were all clogged with junk so he put in a new filter new fuel lines on the outside of the motor.

now he wants me to rebuild all three of his carbs. im kinda hesitant cause i never worked on any of these motors. so how do i do it? he said that he will order a new rebuild kit for it. i looked at it and kinda simply except the oil lines might get in the way.

guys have any advice on takeing the things apart im kinda worried about the throttle linkage?

well rebuild the carbs r a bit different form my motor. does htis motor have a fixed high speed jet? and does the low speed needle need to be moved to clean the carb? and is the carb almost the same as a old evinrude?

the vro? does it inject oil into the carbs or is it multi point? what lines do i need to disconnect from the carb? oil? fuel?

The "kit" is for one carb, i'll need to order 3.

BTW, the "carb repair kit" 1395-8236354 @ 33$/ea were not, most of the time, required and all you need is 3 "carb gasket kit" 1395-6112261 @ 7$/ea.

If i were you, i'd also order a fuel pump diaphragm kit while there. Very easy to do. 21-857005A1 @ 20$.

You simply pop out both link rods (one from the throttle linkage and another to the oil pump

High speed=fixed
Idle mixture= 1 1/4 out
Float height= 7/16"

Oil is mixed with the fuel before the fuel pump. You'll need to disconnect the fuel line from the pump to carb #1 and the one from the #1 bowl to the enrichener system.

now when setting the float height u want it to parrel right?

do i need to disconnect and oil lines to get the carbs off? do u iake the carbs off one at a time or all at once?

where do i get parts for the motor online or bass pro maybe?

about the fuel pump is there a whole bunch of springs i need to worry about in there? if so do u guys have a diagram? exploded view of the fuel pump

now on the linkage i know the black piece that disconnects the carbs fro each other is there any other thing? to pop off

7/16" from the lowest point on top of the float to the top of the fuel bowl.

The oil line join the fuel line before the pump, so there's no oil line to the carb.
You can remove then all at once then disconnect the short fuel hoses from #1 to #2 and #2 to #3 after.

Not so much. Here's a view

Yes. A link rod, on the other side, that connect the bottom carb to the oil pump, as it's a variable ratio oil pump. Only early models (90-91) had a fixed ratio oil pump with no link arm.
