Im on a outboard buying addiction. found this one that I can get at a decent price. were these good motors besides the risky electro shift?
I find myself constantly looking for outboards needing work as a new hobby

The inline four barrel carburetor left a lot to be desired in my opinion BUT other than that, when new, it was a fairly good design.

I also have a 64 starflite 90.S but there was a piece stolen off of it and I was wondering if any one had pictures of the motor so i could reference off of. When I ran this engine it seemed to run great didn't have any trouble.

Hey if anyone has a spare crankcase head for a 1965 Starflite 90, or knows where I can find one, I'd be interested.

no it wasn't the generator. See, the distributor doesn't turn when the throttle is pushed forward. when it does this the solenoid safety switch doesn't get pushed in like its suppose to. I'm just missing something.
