So, was out on Lake Lanier here in Georgia last Saturday and saw some helicopters following a wave runner.. We were anchored over at Tidwell Park.
Pulled the anchor up and went to see what was going on and there was a film crew following this dude. Like, 10 feet above his head almost. I was thinking, either this pilot really knows what he's doing or he is a complete idiot. After watching the guy on the wave runner for a bit and, enjoy the helicopters skim the lake this dude pulls up next to us and says, "DUDE! Thats Kid Rock on the waverunner!"

Sure enough, we pull ahead and see him at one of the docks. I can't be 100% sure but, my girlfriend got out the binoculars and said it was him. Two people came up next to our boat and said it was him. And, there was a huge tour bus parked in front of the house where he was. Pretty cool. It looked like he was having a fun time out there. I'm hoping they were shooting a new video because, me and my boat might be in it. :) He was riding the wave runner like it was a mechanical bull. Wish he would have came by about a half hour earlier, me and one of my friends were playing guitar on the deck of my boat. :)

Anyway, anyone else see this? If not, anyone else run into any celebrities on the water?

Re: Kid Rock

We have some friends who live on Jackson Lake. Garth Brooks has built a house there. They've seen him out on his Bentley pontoon boat a few times though I never have. It's a pretty small lake so I'm sure at least a few people have met him. Probably just a regular guy unless people start acting crazy.

I'd rather run into him than Kid Rock.:D

A celebrity's personal life does not necessarily mirror their portrayed public image, whether it's a good or bad one.

I bet that chopper wasn?t filming him. I?m sure they were trying to dump a bag of manure on him for ruining Skynyrd's song.

I grew up in Petoskey, Michigan and we used to see Bill Laimbeer's(former Detroit Piston) boat on Little Traverse Bay fishing for Salmon and Lake Trout.

Heard him on the marine band radio on occasion too...his boat was aptly titled: "Nuthin' But Net"

Could care less about Kid Rock and if he came up to me I would not know it, but I do like the remake

Re: Kid Rock

I spent many years of my life dealing directly and indirectly with celebs, senior executives and others with lots of money. They are just like everyone else - some are nice people and some are complete jerks.

Sorry, but i don't get too excited about this sort of thing.

I just put 2 and 2 together! I remembered this post and had to write cause I personally thought it was cool! Our little lake and our little boat ramp and they were there filing the video for the Zac Brown bands video of the song TOES! They filmed most of the video at the Daniels store on Pilgrim Mill Rd! Hey our places are on TV!

Yep! I just saw the video the other day! I didn't know it was actually a Zac Brown band song since all I saw was Kid Rock.

Toes is great song by the way!

See you on the lake! Its finally at a good level!

Where we keep our boat, there are several celebrities with cottages in the area. Tom Hanks, Goldie Hawn and Kirk Russell, Martin Short to name a few as well as several NHL players and other famous souls. For the most part, they are regular folk that prefer their privacy.

So some of you are upset that Kid Rock "ruined a Skynyard" song. Are you also up set about Werewolves of London being mixed in there too and "ruined"?....Manure or not. He made enough cash off that deal to buy a lot of soap.:D

They just don't understand modern rock. ;)

I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert as backup band to Kid Rock. Was not really a KR fan, unitl I seen this show. My first rock concert in 25 years. The radio hits don't do KR justice, concerning his "rock.

Skynyrd killed. Kid Rock really killed and gave a great tribute the the Skynyrd band. It was a great show.

The $8 beers made it even more fun.

Yeah, I never was a huge Kid Rock fan, but kind of changed my mind when I saw him in concert in a small venue, nearly by accident and basically for free, a couple of years ago. He put on a great show.

Re: Kid Rock

I've seen kid rock twice. First time he had a couple of no name intro bands, but he put on a heck of a show.
Second time he was touring with Aerosmith and Run DMC. That time he put on a Hell of a show.
