How much gear oil?????

Well im at it again..Just received my parts i ordered,so im getting ready to replace prop shaft seals.Read about procedure but nothing mentioned about how much gear oil fits in the gear case.i have a 1996 115hp #j115eledr...Oh and what kind of oil....thanks

Marine grade 80W90 gear oil ... 26 to 34 depending on model:

115 60V4 EL, GL, SL 1995 on - 31 oz
115 60V4 EX, SX, V6 G/C 1995 on - 34 oz
115 1990 on - 26 oz

Fill till it comes out of the top screw opening. See "Top Secret Files" section.
