I have the opportunity to get a 7.5 ho firestone cheap.....it has been sitting in a dry basement for 20 or more years...the womans husband had a heart attack and she never moved them....i couldn't find a model # i found a serial#13253060...code#133-2-1325....stock #10-a-74 hp 7.5hp..rpm 4200

That's a 1952 model, made by Scott-Atwater. 133-2-1325 is the model number.

I don't have a lot of details for you. www.discount-marine-parts can sell you a carb kit for that one. Other parts can be also be found there and around the internet, thanks to the popularity of Scott-Atwater outboards. That site also has manuals for Scott-Atwater outboards.

As you dig into it, we may be able to help you. You should also go to www.aomci.org and check them out. They have an Ask A Member forum, where there are several Scott-Atwater experts. They also have a classified section and a list of links that may prove useful

One great thing about old, cheap motors is they are a great learning tool. And if you are really cheap like me they are great to see just how many parts adn jerry-rigging stuff you can make to get it running. And when they run, it's a great feeling.
