This is how I clean ANY CARB.
I don't like using all the harsh chemicals nor do I like breathing the fumes so here is what I do. Tear the carb apart and set aside any plastic parts, rubbber parts etc (i.e. floats, diaphrams, etc). Now go to the grocery store and get you a big bottle of lemon juice, now aquire you a hot plate and a pot big enough for the carb body, float bowl, etc to fit in. Put all the parts in the pot and fill with enough lemon juice to submerge the Carb. Now fire up the burner and bring to a boil, let it boil approx 20-30 minutes. Remove the carb parts let them cool on a towel, then hose em off and blow dry. That carb will come out looking brand new, this is cheaper than any carb dip and works a heck of alot better on seriously dirty carbs, Now reassemble your carb and go.
CAUTION: If you are married DO NOT perform this procedure in the house with your wifes prized POTS..............................DON'T ASK......LOL This is the purpose for the hot plate I mentioned earlier.
