300 hours on Merc 7.4/Bravo1 setups

I am looking to buy a ~20ft performace boat from the mid to late 1990's. It seems most of them have about 300 hours or so on the 454/bravo setup I am looking for.

assuming good service**, what percentage of the life span is this on;
-the engine
-the outdrive

after purchasing a boat with ~300 hours what should be inspected or tested before taking my family out in it?

where can i find some information on service intervals for this mercruiser package?

Ayuh,... That's about 10% of it's design Life... Many have run even Longer...

Btw,... That would be a 7.4l,...
The 7.3l is a V8 diesel motor,...
