Mercury 7.5 Water Pump

How dows one drop the gearcase on a Mercury 7.5 2-stroke. I have replaced the water pump on larger engines by dropping the foot. There aren't any bolts on the 7.5 to remove the foot. Are there nuts in the engine housing that need to be removed? I don't see anything that would seem heavy enough to hold the head to the gearcase.

the 75's are the same as the 110's i believe just a smaller carb.... just 2 bolts to remove the lower unit my man one is right behind the water pump screen and the other is at the front of the motor about 5 inches or so above the gear case the shift shaft just seats up into the housing and the driveshaft just goes up into the crankshaft... now for changing your waterpump remove the slinger seal then the 2 bolts holding the pump housing down then take off the pump housing then pump plate note how the impeller is seated into the lower housing.... remove impeller carefully with a screwdriver and retrieve your pump key DO NOT LOSE THIS... put some grease on the back of the pump key and re install on keyway on the shaft (to hold in place) then install impeller line up keyway on impeller with the pump key and spin driveshaft CLOCKWISE and impeller at the same time pushing down (this can be tricky on these mercs cause they have a fixed lower pump housing so you cant just slide the impeller on with the key then put the upper housing on) after impeller is in place... re install the pump plate and pump housing (make sure you put the plate on right bit it has little tabs so its hard to go wrong) and do not overtighten (you may pinch the blades) snug it up pretty well then re install your slinger seal then its ready for you to re install the lower unit

What is the best way to remove the lower water pump housing? I've tried prying up on it gently with a screwdriver (after removing the top housing and impeller of course) but it won't budge and I don't want to break anything. It appears that the oil seal under the water pump is leaking and I would like to replace it. Can I do that without disassembling the whole gearbox after removing the lower pump housing?
