Good day and God bless. I have a 14'6' long star with no ID number. Can any body enlighten me on the company. I know they where in Grand Prarie Texas and Bremen Indiana? It is Alum that I am about to start restoring.
Thanks much and kepp it between the banks.

Re: Long Star Boat Info

Great boats and many owner's here. Most of the "older" boats did not have any id numbers or hull identification numbers. I will slip this post into out restoration section. Use our search function and look up lone star.

Welcome to the restoration world!! ;) Got any pictures? We are photo junkies!!

You might try this link: www.fiberglassics.com

They used to have lots of info on LoneStar but have been reworking their website and the LoneStar section may not be up now. Good luck!

EDIT: I just checked and LoneStar is NOT reworked yet. Sorry!

Re: Long Star Boat Info

What year is the boat in question? You said Aluminium? If it is prior to approx. 1972 (according to Alumacraft, had to answer a similar question myself recently) the hull ID may be stamped into the transom knee (connects the hull to the transom [generally in the center of the transom]) in the stern of the boat.
You may also try the DNR office of the last registering state if not the same as your own and request a boat history search on the registration numbers. This search may give the original Hull ID. It may also be on the title if there was ever one issued for the boat.

Re: Long Star Boat Info

Thanks guys for the help. I know it is a 50's or 60's by the hardware still on it. The front ornament is the shape of a space ship/plane about six inches long. The side clasps are smaller versions about 4' in mid section and 2" aft. It has 3'16 rivets and still solid with no leaks even thou it has been abused. I have the transom name plates which were still attached. It is a runabout rated for 35 horses with 3 seat sections.
Good day and God bless. Kepp it between the shores.

Went to the Long star web site and the boat pictured has the same forward hardware as mine. Thanks much for your help.
