That is good advice to begin with, however please type in a normal size !!!!
It sure hurts the eyes when that type comes up !!!!

Remove the steering link from the steering rod to the motor. Now spray teh rod with PB Blaster and using a pipe wrench, rock the rod pac and forth in the titlt tube. Spray and repeat. Eventually it will loosen up. Now clean it up and lube with light duty marine grease.
What is the connection supposed to be that links the steering rod to the steering cable? I've got a 70 hp evinrude (2000) that is currently stuck.
I loosened the fittings on the end of the cable and the cable came free. I thought it would be connected to the steering rod. Is it supposed to be attached? If so, it must have broken off. It would be great to see what its supposed to look like inside.
