went out on the river last weekend, got alittle ahead of myself and while being pushed off the beach, started the motor for no more then 4 seconds. the motor was still up. turned the motor off, put it down started it back up. and ran fine. water still pumped.

im thinking since it had just been running in the water, there was still water in the motor and im probably fine? thoughts?

wouldnt hurt to look but in all proabilty your ok.i stupidly ran mine for a few minutes while working on mine till i realized i had turned off the water!went and bought a new impeller right away ,went to change ,that was 4 or 5 years ago and im running the same old one that keeps looking like it is brand new,go figure.should of bought a lottery ticket right away,lol.

by the by 90 hp evinrude,there must of been enough water in the system to keep it ok.

I'm sure you're fine. I once did the same friggin' thing one day when I was feeling rushed at the ramp. That was embarrassing.
