OK...first you have to reference this by Don S.

Check list:
Good Battery
New Batt Cables
Cleaned all connections
Turned Key and hear a click....so on to engine compartment.

Slave solenoid
Terminal C...(I) on my solenoid. As soon as I touch it tester light comes on, but dim. Tested voltage...around 6 volts...
follow this wire and it connects at the coil....6 volts there too.

Turned key while touching C...strong light. check
Terminal A...check ok
Hooked to terminal A and D(S)....light on check...so we know ground is ok.

Going through the list and all checks out ok...etc etc.

Jumping the solenoid does nothing...

Is my starter gone????

The slave trips the main solenoid so it should atleast click in start. If it does and nothing happens, go to the starter and short the small lug (yel/red wire) to the main battery lug, solenoid should engauge and starter should spin. if not have starter and solenoid serviced

Toss the test light, use a meter for everything. I've been thinking about uploading some of my notes... if I get some time i'll do it later today.

Yes...it clicks. I will have to try to trip it at the starter when I get home today.... I am sure the starter is gone, but I wanted to double check before I take it off. Does not appear to be easily done!

Once I do test the starter life will be better, but one thing has been bothering me.....

Slave solenoid
Terminal C...(I) on my solenoid. As soon as I touch it tester light comes on, but dim. Tested voltage...around 6 volts...
follow this wire and it connects at the coil....6 volts there too. Should this be hot (6v) with the key in the on position? When I turn to start it goes to 12V? Does this seem correct?
