Re: converting from controls to tiller
Most everyone on here will tell you to buy a tiller model. The cost of everything to change it over to a true tiller model would be expensive and almost impossible if that motor only had a remote control model not a tiller model.
I bought a 25 Johnson off of a pontoon and put it on my tiller steered boat. All I did was mounted the throttle controls in relation to my seat and use a pipe to steer with. Works out good.
