I thank you for the reply. I got the water pump problem fixed. I cant read wright or follow directions I quess, had water pump gasket in wrong place,
looked in book kicked self in but, now I have another problem. started idled about 20 minutes water pump working good, motor died have spark bottom plug. no spark top plug. put in new plugs didnt change a thing. coil, points, how do I track down problem?

Clean and re-gap the points. Sometimes the new ones have an oil sheen on them that needs to be cleaned off. Also make sure the top plug wire is still in the coil.
