Hello all.. Im looking for a carb kit for my 1970 9.5 johnson. My local Napa carries it i am sure, but they cannot cross reference the OEM part # 382048 with a sierra part #. I did search the forums, and look at sierra's cross reference section, but everything seems to skip the 9.5 entirely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: sierra cross reference #'s question

They skip it because they don't have it. The floats need to be replaced because they are cork sealed in shellac which dissolves in ethanol. The floats aren't made by anyone else unless it is a custom job.

382048 is the correct OEM part number for the whole kit, available from any BRP dealer worldwide.

If you want one quickly on line, try ishopmarine.com, maxrules.com, marineengine.com, sea-way.com, or check:

Good, and BTW, if you ever find someone making up those specific floats out of something that won't degrade, I would sure like to know about it.
