Hello and thanks for helping.
I just bought a 1990 175 glasstron CHEAP. It is in very good shape except it started vibrating when i turn the wheel while in gear. I am thinking the gimbal bearing or u joints. Maybe both? It is an AQ131c motor and the outdrive only says SP CD. Is this the model of it? I have the manual and am going to try to fix this this weekend. i am fairly mechanically inclined, just never worked on a boat before. I do not have to pull the motor surely?? The manual is in the boat at the marina so I am trying to do a little research before tomorrow. Any help is greatly appreciated
Also, do i HAVE to have the allignment tool? If so, i hope i can get it locally

could be anything you mentioned or maybe something as simple as a damaged prop

yeah, it was vibrating a little when i got it, I put a new ss prop on it. It just steadily got worse and pretty bad when turning.

no but you will need to remove the drive to inspect the gimbal and u-joints and check alignment.
