Need info on Chaparral Boats

Looking to buy a 2007 Chap Sunesta 274, it has 11 hours on motor. Wife and I really like the boat. We have never owned a boat like this before. Need some info on the boat itself good and bad.. It has a 5.7 liter, 300hp. Will this engine be big enough with a load of people onboard and still travel? also was wondering what top speed this boat would have..Please flood me with info on this boat!!!!!!!

I can tell you that I have a 2006 Chaparral 204SSi and it is an awesome boat. Build quality and materials are all top notch and design of the hull and interior are both great and have won several awards. I have the 5.0 Fuel Injected 270 horse and mine is plenty fast. You will have 7 more feet then me and considerably more weight, so my only concern would be the motor, I think it will be underpowered for the boat. It really should have a big block in it. If it has the Duo Prop that will help. Chaparral also has an owners forum at their website and there are a lot of Chap owners with that boat, I would ping them over there.
