I looked on the nauticus website and I noticed that there is no recommendations for aluminum fishing boats. I was wondering if smart tabs can be used on aluminum boats? If so, which ones would be recommended?

I have a Lund S-14 (14 foot aluminum boat). I have an 18hp johnson and working on a 10hp so i can fish hp restricted lakes. The 18 gets me up on plane, but I would like a little better holeshot. Also, it gets two people on plane all right, but takes a little time.

Jdsgrog;

There is no problem using Smart Tabs on an aluminium boat. The best set up for your boat would be the SX9510-20 which is not a standard model number.

This is the SXseries conposite tabs with 20 Lb actuators. The standard number would be SX9510-30 hoever the 30 Lb actuators will likely be too much for the 18 HP and for sure too much for the 10HP.

You will need to call us at 800-233-0194.
