Picked her up on Thursday for a sea trial and to check if she would fit in the garage ... she is now mine. Wife and daughter are excited. Tomorrow we go on our maiden cruise, weather permitting ...

Real nice boat. Looks similar to a SeaSwirl. Good luck on your cruise!

Me too ... I didn't want to give up the fishing aspect of a boat, and we do a lot of hunting out of the boat in the fall, so the fiberglass floor is great ... easy to hose the blood out of it ;) :p!

The bass boat was great for fishing, and had red carpet, so the blood wasn't much of a factor, but it wasn't conducive to family use. Skiing and tubing will be much easier behind this boat, just much more family friendly than the Skeeter SS-1! We are happy as of now ... I will let you know after tonight.

I did order 2 cooler seats from iboats for added seating and storage (the boat is light on storage). Had to get a drain cover and the scudder valves are shot, need to get new inserts for that. Might bring the depth finder over from the Skeeter before selling her. A little fiberglass repair on the bottom this winter and the seats need re-upolstered this winter. Other than those things, she is good to go. Brand new Bimini top with wrap around panels for cold and or wet weather cruising, new lower unit, engine rebuilt 3 years and about 50 hours ago. So I should be in good shape for the shape I am in!

Oh, and I think I got a great deal ... dealer friend told me it was worth 8 grand (he sold it to the guy I bought it off of for $9500 3 years ago). I paid $5800 - boat, 2 motors, trailer, trolling motor, am/fm/cass, bimini top, Eagle 320C depth finder, new style "Christmas Tree" guages, and about 30 gallons of gas ... so, I am happy.

Re: My "New-to-me" Boat

Performance knucklehead. I can see the rest of that stuff . . .
:p:p

I need a stainless prop on her ... the aluminum that came with her is pretty beat up and it is a 17" and she is only turning 4800rpm. Gotta jump down to a 15" to get my rpm's closer to 5500 for that engine.

That being said, she jumps out of the hole and will do low 30's as she sits ... so with the right prop I should get mid to upper mid 30's out of her.

The 40 gallon tank should keep me on the water all day, with stops to fish and swim. So that is good, just not so good when it is time to fill her up.

Anything else you want to know????
