1980 merc 90hp inline 6cyl NO SPARK

hows it going i just picked up a 1980 90hp 6cyl its got over 130lbs of compression on all 6. clean motor. but i just got it all hooked up and no spark anywhere. ive never owned a merc only johnson evinrudes... lots of wires on these things. any thoughts would be great.

If that motor is a 1980, it will have alternator driven ignition. This ign has six coils and two switchboxes. The first test is to remove the killer wire from the switchboxes. In is either orange or possibly black/yellow. If that restores the spark, check the ign switch and it's wiring. If that doesn't fix it, get on the dolphinmarineservices.com website or the website for CDI Electronics an find the troubleshooting guide for your ignition.

i removed those black and yellow wire... still no spark... that website is down any other tips to diagnose. if its a bad connection or stator or what
