mercury 225 Help Please

My motor seems to loose power as it warms up. First thing in the morning it runs fine as the day and motor heats up it wont get up on plane unless someone gets in the front of the boat. It still has the top end speed just bogs down till it gets on plane this problem just started in the last two weeks could it be something as simple as the fuel filter?

More likely a plug or 2 fouling. Fuel usually gets you most at WOT.

It could be overheating. Does your temp alarm work?

You don't mention your boat. How big is it? What's your WOT rpm?
Sometimes if you're big for the motor and overpropped, things like this happen.

It is good practice to always start with the basics in troubleshooting ANY problem with your motor.

Check compression
Test Spark
Replace fuel filters (if any)

If Compression and Spark both check out well then Clean your Carbs.
