1985 omc 4.3 cobra outdrive trim problems

hows it going i have an omc cobra drive the trim will go up but will not go down... does anybody know what normally makes that happen thanks

so i figured it out further and the trim works if i jump the selenoid. but it doesnt work from the switch ...... the switch? or something else

You answered your own question. Next step is to test the switch with a meter.
