Im wanting to change the points in the motor. I HAVE the factory manual. Manual says to use Johnson flywheel tool to remove. Anybody know where I can get one of these? And no, my flywheel doesn't have the 3 threaded holes, that can be taken off with a harmonic balancer puller. My flywheel has 2 holes about a inch or 2 from each other. And they are not threaded. There is no Johnson dealer close to my house, other wise I would see if they could pop it off.

Carburator. I just put in a rebuild kit that I got here from "iboats" The needle and seat of the float didn't have any rubber on the tip like the old one I took out. Is this normal? Gas is going to shut off from just the brass of the float needle, and the new seat? I've rebuilt many carbs in my lifetime, first time I seen a needle for the float valve, not have a rubber tip for sealing off the incoming gas.

The puller holes are covered by the ring under the flywheel nut. Take the nut off, and the cover comes off.

Look at the needle more closely, The tip is silver but it is rubber.

Ok, will do. Looking at the picture in the manual, it shows the guy using a puller that looks like it's going into those 2 non threaded holes. This confused me a bit. Thanks man.

No rubber, of any color. I did turn the carb upside down, and blow into it. For the most part it seemed to close, but if I blew super hard a litttle air was getting in.
