Just hit Ensign..

My first post was about a POS IMP Pawnee (pic attached) I had gotten for 200 bux (hence the handle) with a 165 I6..Got bamboozeld, I should have offered to drag it away for free...Motor was froze up...Had rotten deck...But I loved her for a little while..I wanted to put an automotive starter on her just cuz I didnt know better....

I have gotten advice and help from many of you, and from one who is no longer here (ChiefAlen)..I am grateful for the vast knowledge, commorodiere, and basic good people that I consider my iboat friends...

Definitely a great bunch of people around here. I got lots of help from forum members when I got my boat (see avitar) and it's a nice place to just hang out and BS. Congrats on the 'promotion'.

BTW what happened to ChiefAlen? He helped me quite a bit and knows alot about older OMC's like mine.

Congrats Kev...as for the first cheap boats, I think that's the way newbies should start. Get an old beater POS and work it until you master it. Then upgrade. At least that's what I'm telling myself!

Hey mine actually came out and grabbed the scrub brush the other day, not that she did any scrubbing but she did rinse the hull for me and vacmun the carpet. We talked about going to the Fl get together but it was just a little far for us this year.

lol...nahhhhhh..ok once in awhile...I was treated pretty well from day one..so I give what I got
