So here is the new bench seat going into my bayliner, not the prettiest thing ever, but a usable configuration with a small budget! Let me know what you think.

The Wood frame has 3 coats of Thompsons Water Seal, and then 3 Coats of a clear coat silicone spray. I am Hoping it will fend of rotting for a little while at least!

And then there is of course the center console to put all the beer in!

Now i just need to build the bucket seats for the front, and we are in business! I will post better pictures tomorrow, but this is what i have for now.

This is all temporary until I have enough money to get some actual nice seats in it!

Hope you all like it.

Those "treatments" are homeowner treatments..... but it is kind of late now being after the fact.......

Most people start with exterior grade plywood and seal ALL sides and edges with fireglass resin (or epoxy) and some layers of csm/cloth.

I am sure what you have done will survive the season or two.

Looks pretty cowboy to me, but if you are happy and it'll serve the purpose then go for it...

But don't pay me any attention either, I don't have any interior in my boat what so ever...

I see no problem with that. gets you on the water, a place to sit and a spot to store the cold ones.

While not the greatest looking im sure the $$ invested makes it look pretty sweet.
