I have a 2002 Glastron GX185 w/Merc 4.3 carb Alpha 1. Approx 190 hrs.

After my last outing I noticed a light clicking sound when I turned the prop by hand while in Neutral. Did not have this before - always could turn by hand with no noise. Drive fluid changed 1 month ago. Checked again yesterday, no water.

While underway noticed vibrating at idle speed. Not bad, but noticable. Higher speeds ran fine, no issues. Temp was normal. Don't want to run again until I know what is going on.

Anyone have this issue before?

Issues sound potentially unrelated. Did you pull the prop to see if you wound up someone's fishing line?

The clicking noise could also be normal. If you can duplicate the noise again, go wiggle the control handle to make sure it has settled all of the way into neutral. Often the clicking will stop after that.

X 2 sounds like the shif cable might be off aujustment or getting streched just a little, But the right way to know for sure is you need to lower the drive down level and then turn it and if you still here the click then you will need to do something about the cable and that could be aujustment or a new one. Good luck with it.

Re: Clickng sound in the lower unit

Thanks.

I put the shift lever in F and turned the prop both ways (clockwise it turns, counterclockwise it didn't). Then shifted into R and did the same, clockwise it doesn't turn, counter it does. Put back into N and clicking went away. Possibly something out of alignment or shift cable issue as you suggest?

Vibrating appears to be from a prop that has a "wobble" to it, i.e., doesn't turn a perfect circle. Time for a new prop.

Sounds perfect to me, but you should stop doing that without her running . . . ;) Notice how hard it was to move the shifter?

If she operates correctly and safely while in the water and running, I would stop stressing. I think you are imagining a problem because you heard/felt that clicking. If you can maneuver around docks, trailer etc. safely, my guess is she is right as is. Not to say that you couldn't have a stretched or failing cable, but from what you have listed I see no real indication of that.
