Wide lapels and polyester

When I was not in uniform back then..... at night and on the weekends.... I think I was into plaids and flanal shirts...... more into the outdoors then the nightlife.

LOL I think I got my first coveted Sears credit card that year ;)

Those comments are really offensive. . .all of them. Not in the least funny and remind me of street punks who like to ridicule anyone and anything.

We used to wear bell bottom pants and plat form shoes to Church LOL. I was at least a foot taller haha. I don't care what they say. The 60s and the 70s were a great time to be alive. I was young in the 60s but my older brother had a great time with the free love wild women. The 70s had the best music and autos. Not much information overload like there is today

The link is broken, so I can't see what is offensive about the comments. LOL, now I'm curious!

I too remember the 60s quite well and wore all the sort of dumb "fashions" of the time, which mostly consisted of thrift store junk! My favorite sneakers were a pair of olive drab, military issue high tops.

Now, when I see some dopey kid with his pants falling off his behind, I have to remind myself that I looked just as stupid at 16.

:D now I know we are a bunch of liar's, because if you remeber the 70's then you weren't really there! but I kind of remeber the bell bottoms and the skating rink, Is that sad or what?

I still think the table and chairs made out of barrels are cool. And they didn't even show the really cool stuff you know the beaded curtains and the macrame speaker and pot ( the ones that hold dirt not the one you toked) holder that hung from the ceiling. The only thing I'd miss if we went back to that time is the internet cause you can learn so much from it other than that well as long as i didnt't have to have a party telephone line

I was already a granpa in 1977. I wore jumpsuits then and I wear jumpsuits now, but that is not my point.

Making fun of another person or time is the most basic form of bullying. It is aggression.

Aggression always offends me.

I don't blame wajajaja for the comments but wonder why he thinks they are funny.

I was born in 77 so sadly I dont remember the 70's at all.

BTW,

the fashons in 87,97 and 07 will look just as silly in a few years.......

Re: A trip back to '77 funny

I am one of the lucky few, I still look great in that stuff and I have a closetfull!!!:D:D
ya lucky guy..... my girlfriend got a hold of my stuff. nice shiny slick feeling shirts with wide collars, my sear sucker (i think they were called) bell bottom trousers. my corduroy bellbottoms. she tossed them all. :( w/o my permission too... she was in hot water then...

i liked my bellbottoms trousers too... wish i could still buy some. they looked cool...

as for the offensive comments... if that's the worst thing that i read today, and i doubt it will be, i'll be doing good. + i never really gave a rats *** what anyone said about my clothes anyways. all they do is cover me up and keep me warm in the winter... functional is what i like.. excluding the non functional, cool looking bellbottoms... ;)

Yeah! Wish I could get bell bottoms, or even flares! Nowadays the widest dress jeans, & pants, are called boot cut, (more like straight cut ) and having husky legs all my life, they're still not wide enough for me to pull up to my knee when going to the foot Dr. Or, using a knee brace, I gotta put on shorts, or sweat pants, not fun in the winter! Plus, I'm just not into either one of those :( I guess it's cheaper to just skimp on extra material, in the legs, & rise, coming from Taiwan or wherever! I guess I'll just hafta start buying gangsta pants, or jeans, might as well because the belt line keeps getting lower, & lower, anyway  that'll look cool on a chunky old body :D

I remember the table and chairs. Not saying anything about the clothes.
