I recently purchased a 1986 blue fin 16 foot aluminum boat. The previous owner converted it to a duck boat and painted over EVERYTHING. He then decided to pull the paint off the placard which erased it all. Is there anywhere I can call to get a new one w/ my hull ID. I called brunswick but they did not have an answer for me. Is there any place I could get another one?

I live in PA and the state can issue one for me.

I'm going to assume that you are talking about the Hull Identification Number.

If you know what the number is, (like off the registration card) then buy a set of letter/number stamps from Harbor Freight, stamp the number on a strip of aluminum, and pop rivet on the stern of the boat.

The hull ID is the one I can read which is the serial number for the boat transom. I need the plate that shows the HP and occupancy card that is in every other boat.

I think that would be from the boat builder only.
I doubt any state would guess at any boats capacity rating...too much liability..

boat manufacturer only.
If you can find a similar boat and get the info, you can make up your own placard.
