Hello forum, Hope you can help me.
I have 1990 20 ft Bayliner Capri open bow, What is the correct size for the propel for this boat?

What can I do to increase the speed in this boat? In high speed is 5000 RPM just with wife, me, and two kids, average age for the kids 2 years.

Welcome to iboats.
Give as much information as possible and the people here will be able to help you better.
The engine type and HP, current prop and condition are some of the things they need. Was your speed measured with GPS or the boats speedometer?

Do know the size of prop?

Check speedo accuracy with gps?

Depending on engine that boat should go between 40 - 50

Thank you very much for the quick response. I'm not sure about the horse power and the prop size but I will find out. I think the horse power are 150, the engine is Mercurier I/O L drive. I will post more information tomorrow after check the speed with the GPS.

Believe the l-drives are approximately 120 horsepower 4 cylinder motor. Still would think you should get more than 30. One thing that could slow you down is if the boat is kept in the water all the time & hull bottom has growth on it. Just a thought.
