Wont take throttle

I am having a problem with a 1976 77hp evinrude. 9 out of 10 times when I give it throttle it falls on its face and dies. Once in a while it takes it and runs great I have rebuilt carbs, new fuel pump, new fuel lines and primer bulb. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you checked the spark and compression on each cylinder? If those are OK, I'd suspect a clogged up high speed orifice (even if you've rebuilt the carbs) ... or the fuel pump.

I replaced the fuel pump. Has good compression and spark.

check nozzle gasket's to make sure they are in good shape,could be sucking air an not fuel above the float
