TRIM - In the manual, diagram shows a connection, circle with a S, G and I. I'm thinking that is a gauge. If so I don't think I need it (small boat - no room on console). Is that a trim gauge and if so can I furget aboud it ? Wires are White/Tan, Black/Gold and Purple.

TRIM - White/Blue wire broke near plug at engine. It doesn't look like it was done on purpose but it looks like it was like that for a while. Just solder it ?

IGNITION - rectangular box 2.5" x 2" x 1" (all approx) two wires only. One black and one gray. Black connects to WARNING HORN. What is this box and where does the gray wire connect to ?

WARNING HORN - Circular approx 2" diameter and about 3/4" thick. Has following numbers/letters. MX 2 W27. Has a brown, 2 purple wires and the black to the circuit breaker(?). Is this horn for temp or VRO ? Do I need to update this horn? I plan on disconnecting the VRO.

I got a Evinrude/Johnson Official manual. It's pretty thin. Would a SELOC cut down on my questions ?

seloc has too many mistakes. follow the wiring diagram in the back of the manual. you have a PM.

Maybe my manual is old. I got a much better schematic off this site somewhere that specifies most connections (neutral safety switch, kill switch, tach plug, warning horn and harness is all spelled out). The pages are all brown around the edges and I just got it last fall.
TD any idea what that box with the black and gray wire does ? Circuit breaker ? I am ADDING a TACH.
