I started the season out by replacing the weathered fuel line and primer bulb. Then the problems started. The new bulb and line were clamped with screw type hose clamps, the primer bulb would not pump up hard like the old one, lots of smoke with high oil consumption, and surging RPM at mid range. After reading this forum I was sure I had an air leak, threw away that setup and bought new primer/fuel line kit with factory clamps on the bulb and used OME plastic type clamps on the fuel tank (internal) and the motor connecter. Same results.
I did not replace the connecter to the engine yet. Where should I look next?

arrow on bulb pointing toward motor? point arrow on bulb to the sky, they work better in that position. if it does not get hard, there is a leak some where, could be a simple as a carb float needle sticking, do any of the carb overflow. looks of smoke high oil consumptions says the VRO2 pump is failing, on the oil side. over mixing oil.

I had a little fuel line leak on a flow hose to the intake, the hoses to the carb's are fine. But it was hard to spot, a metal hose clamp was in place and it put a perfect splice in the line.

That explains my loosing prime issue and possibly others. I also found that I had a bad coil, which is another reason mine has been running unperfect. I tell you what, what a strong motor to run on 2 cylinder for 2 months. Anyways, got off topic but I hope you look good enough, Im sure you'll find at least one leak.
