OMC Ford 302 Manifold - using Barr Indmar from Osco??

So, my much anticipated manifold/riser kit from GLM arrived. I noted the mating surfaces to be really bad - su much so that I contacted GLM to obtain replacements.

Then, a tech suggested using a Barr/Indmar universal setup from Osco. Now it seems as if it could work - with the only issue being that I would need to find a way to mount the circuit breaker box, since that used the riser bolts to mount previously.

Here's a link to the Osco pdf - the tech said items 1, 4, and 7, plus gaskets, etc. http://www.oscomotors.com/catalog/pdf/osco-pg26-28.pdf

Has anybody used this Osco setup on an OMC/Volvo Ford small block? Any problems? While it is more expensive than the GLM, I think it might be the better option.
